We are back to The Brew Project this week for our show. We are interviewing Ebullition Brew Works for a slightly different show. While it may seem like most other shows we’ve done, this show was organized by Tom from What’s On Draft. Tom was there filming Ebullition during a taste test with The Brew Project and some of its customers to see if they could get a tap handle. Tom also wanted to document a new brewery going on the mic for the first time.
We are joined by Jesse, Eric, and Mike, along with Tom who will join us after he is done with his filming. While Jesse, Eric, and Mike are all cofounders, they all wear lots of hats. To be a little more specific, Mike is the Head Brewer while Jesse helps brew as well. After introductions, we get into the normal beginning podcast questions of how all three got into beer. We then get into the history of how they started up the brewery and how all three of them got involved. We go deeper into Mike’s brewing history and how he found the crew at Ebullition to become their Head Brewer. Brian wonders what the style is for the brewery and moves into a conversation of breweries who look like they’re not opening.
We take a break from the action and come back with some “Best Friend Vance” beers. Starting a themed sour IPA beer from South Carolina, just wait to hear its name and description. After a few Vance beers, we wonder what the brewing philosophy is and where the recipes come from. We find out all the statistics of the brewhouse and find out that they have some of the same problems many breweries do when they built it out. We wonder what beers are selling well and of course, that dives into a talk about hazy beers.
In the News

- 13 Point Brewing to become Lemon Grove’s first brewery. Bob Frank and Robert Bessone helped by Sheriff’s Dept. and local government to propose a legislative provision addition. They will be able to sell cans, bottles, and crowlers. They are estimating 4-9 months until they open.
