We are recording at one of (if not THE) most northern brewery in San Diego County. We head up to Legacy Brewing Co. to talk to JJ Synder and Andrew Baer. JJ is the co-founder, CFO, and Operation Manager while Andrew is their Assistant Brewer and Graphics Designer.
Like most of the shows, we start with the basics of how JJ got into craft beer. Before we could get into Andrew’s history, we are interrupted by a listener joining us for the night as our studio audience. We sort of get back on track with their thoughts on the haze craze going around the city. From there we do get back to how Legacy started and how they build the brewery. Luckily we have a ton of beers on the table, so it was our duty (I said duty) to drink as much of it as we could. Brian goes into a statistics bullet round of Legacy.
After a break, we come back with another listener beer and some more Legacy beers. We ask them about their spot in Miramar, Legacy Tap & Kitchen. We wonder why they chose Miramar as their second location. After a plug for my other podcast, AltBrew Show, Brian asks them what has been rewarding when opening and running Legacy. We close out the show with a 15% beer!
